Door staff hold the phone at arm's length, often in a dim foyer, and glance at it for less than a second per guest. Every screen in the app is designed for that moment.
One login, no setup
Staff sign in with the account you gave them. Only accounts allowed to scan get past sign-in, so the wrong person is stopped before the first guest.
Only the events they work
Each staff member sees the events they are assigned to, with the door rules on the card: re-entry allowed or not, and whether the door is open right now.
A verdict you can hear
A full-width result banner, plus a different sound and vibration for admitted and refused. Staff know the answer before they read it, even in glare or with a cracked screen.
Auto, In or Out lanes
Leave it on Auto and the app works out the direction. Running separate entry and exit lanes? Pin a phone to In or Out, and a ticket shown at the wrong lane is refused.
Torn ticket? Look them up
Type the printed code, or search the guest list by name, email, phone or seat. Supervisors can check a guest in or out straight from the search results.
Made for dark venues
A dark screen that won't dazzle guests, a torch button for crumpled tickets, and one tap to switch cameras. Buttons are sized for a gloved thumb.

Every phone sees every scan
A check-in at the VIP lane shows up on the main entrance phone and on your dashboard within a moment. If the live connection drops, the app refreshes on a timer so the numbers never go stale.
Offline scans never admit twice
Every scan carries its own ID. When a phone sends its held scans after an outage, the system recognises anything it has already received, so no ticket is counted twice.
The same rules at every door
Phones don't decide who gets in. Every scan is checked against your event's rules in one place, so all gates give the same answer.

Every ticket has a live status. Guests can step out for air and come back, within the re-entry limit you set per event. Anything that breaks the rules is refused, and your staff see the reason on screen.

As the event host, you get your own login to the WP Ticket Scanner web portal. Follow the door from the office, backstage or home, on a laptop, tablet or phone. You see your own events and nobody else's.

Every movement is kept with the time, the gate and the staff member who scanned it. Useful when a guest says they never left.

Every ticket gets a unique serial number and its own QR code that can't be guessed or copied from another ticket. Print them yourself from the portal, as many sheets as you need.
Event name, venue, date, ticket type, serial and QR, laid out ten to an A4 sheet with cut marks.
